My name is David Wesst, also known as DW or Wessty, and I'm just another person trying to chase the dream of designing and publishing my own video games.
Here's the catch: I don't want to put my "real life" at risk while doing it. I have a day job, a mortgage, and a family, all of which require my attention and for me to maintain my physical and mental health. Oh, and my real life requires real money to continue, not just passion.
In conclusion, follow my journey in entering the world of video game development while I turn my work-life balance into a dream-life balance.
Just like any other awesome millennial, I have a number of ways to share my message into the void. Here's the breakdown of the ones I keep alive.
This is just a firehose of ideas, thoughts, and randomness related to my day-to-day that focus on game development, game design, and my journey into this brave new world.
I also talk about video games themselves, sometimes.
The mostly form of Twitter, although a picture tends to be followed with a bunch of other thoughts and ideas that don't fit into the Twitter message character limit.
I say "beta" because I'm currently experimenting with devlogs for my projects on YouTube. I've gone down this road a number of times over the past few years, so we'll see if I can make it work.
If you're trying to reach me about games (or day job related stuff, like cloud solution architecture) then this is the best place to catch me.
That being said, this is also in "Beta" as I need to figure out how to best use Discord. The more people the merrier, so pop by, say hi, and give me some feedback when you get a moment. :)
