After banging my head against the keyboard last night and tonight, I finally realized that the problem was that I was looking too deep for the answer to my dialogue box display issues. Although this be frustrating now, at the end of the day this allowed me to learn more about the Godot engine that I decided to use for this project. Being an old software developer, I know that this exploration is necessary– even if it’s untimely.
